Ahem!!!! London Bound peeps......

ArtWank is here!

An interactive, retro-tastic smut-fest, sprinkled liberally with cabaret performance from London's finest and fascinating mini-lectures from contemporary sex-workers, writers, academics and erotic artists.

Screening rare, naughty and hilarious erotic cinema shot from the birth of cinema up intil the 1960s, ArtWank offers you an unusual and highly stimulating night out, wether you are an early cinema geek, a filth-hound looking to tickle the fancies not catered for by modern porn or a dedicated follower of passion, fashion and quality low-brow entertaiment.

Combining slapstick comedy with the most outrageous silver-screen action available ArtWank is at last moving to London, following a highly successful season at the Marlborough Theatre, Brighton, and for the launch we've pulled out all the stops;

Ophelia Bitz presents a multi-sensory night of rare antique porn, cabaret performance and interactive lectures from contemporary sex professionals at Bloomsbury’s fantastic Horse Hospital.
...
ArtWank pairs slapstick comedy with erotic cinema, and screens the strangest, funniest, most unusual footage available as well as encouraging porno-sing-alongs, debate and dressing-up.

HONOURED GUESTS TO THE STAGE:

Guest speaker KITTY STRYKER: a contemporary courtesan and sex-writer, Kitty will deliver a mini-lecture on Why Sex Is Fun, clowns, kinky psychology and DIY porn.

Derranged performance artiste CRIMSON SKYE and her Supermassive Black Hole will titillate, confuse and arouse you beyond realms of normality and good taste.

Maestro accordionista TOM BAKER will be pumping his organ furiously to the flickerings of the silver screen and may just treat you to songs of treachery, vodka and sub-aquatic monsters. Or he may just eat your soul.

Your resident hostess is the inimitable potty-mouthed pin-up OPHELIA BITZ. This classless broad has appeared on BBC Radio 4’s Woman's Hour, on Channel 4 and toured with The Tigerlillies, Dresden Dolls and pop star Mika. She has a cabaret residency at Soho’s Madame JoJos every Thursday night from January 27th.

Please visit www.artwank.co.uk for more information

When? Wednesday, 23rd of February

Where? TheHorse Hospital, Bloomsbury, WC1N 1JD.

Save the chickens!

Ok, this may sound odd, and not specifically anything to do with art...

...but 5000 free-range hens need rehoming or they're going to the slaughter. If anyone wants some, call Brighton Animal Action on 07796251173 or 01273 885750 I think in the spirit of being lefty arty-type people, we should strive to save the chickens.
