Over:Drive Events and The Crown, Middlesbrough is looking for new ways to encourage and advertise live music.
They're interesting in creating a Music Zine (small, informal magazine) which combines flyers and promotions for upcoming gigs, with band interviews, reviews, art, illustration, articles, comics and anything else we can think of.
I'm looking for anyone who wants to be part of a group that contributes to this Zine, Ideally they would be interested and enthusiastic about the local music scene.
The Zine would have to be ready around the beginning of september to be published for freshers week.
Material/paper/printing costs will be funded by OVER:DRIVE, entrance to the gigs, travel costs and any access to the bands or backstage would be taken care of, however, this is still unpaid. But, hundreds of people will see your work and it's a great way to both get noticed and help your local music scene.
We're looking for jounalists, writers, photogaphers, illustrators, people with a sense of humor, ANYONE with a love of live music and some thing to say about it.
